Frequently asked questions
Does the camera need a SIM card?
No. It needs an internet connection, which can be Wi-Fi or mobile data provided by the Android device.
Can Athesus View locate a powered-off camera?
No. The controller shows the last position reported while the app had location permission and connectivity. It is not a replacement for Android Find My Device or emergency tracking.
Who can view my cameras?
Camera data and commands are scoped to the owning authenticated account. Keep your account password secure and remove any device you no longer control.
Do I need to leave the camera app running?
Yes. The Android camera app must remain running with the required permissions and a stable internet connection to provide live video and updates.
